August is a popular month to celebrate festivals and events all over the World. Most people start their holidays and have plenty of time to travel, visit friends or do nothing. I know many of you have visited this place, have lived there or live there (lucky you!!) now....Let's see if you really know these different places... I wish I was there!!!!
1) Fantastic views from up here...
2) What is the name of this venue????
3) This street will take you from......to......and maybe you recognize the pub on the background...
4) One of my favourite streets...
5) And the easiest one....it has a very nice second name...
Good Luck!!

La 4, la 4!!!!!! Jo també he estat allí!!!
La 2 i la 3 , ... not far from Royal Mile ... really?
Nº4: You are not wrong...remember Finnegans Wake?
Nº 5? Name of the monument!!!
With Sir Walter Scott (1771-1832) the Scottish novel had a new beginning which extinguished all that went before it. In 1814 his novel Waverley, based on the Jacobite Rising was an instant success and over the next dozen or so years he wrote 23 historical novels.
His monument in Princes Street Gardens is testimony to his contribution to Scottish literature.
Recorda que soc de lletres ...
Good guess Ivanjoé...now, you need to guess pictures 1, 2, 3...(nº 3 you were not too wrong, but do you know the name of the pub?)

Photo 1: Sir Arthur Connan Doyle tomb?
Photo 2: The site of THE DOME was originally the site of the old Physicians hall (1775), built and designed by JAMES CRAIG the celebrated planner of Edinburgh's New Town. Unfortunately for the College of Physicians the original estimate of £2,725 rose to £4,800 by completion, leaving the College approximately £1,000 in debt. Unsurprisingly after a short time the College looked for a purchaser and eventually THE COMMERCIAL BANK OF SCOTLAND made an offer for the site and premise for £20,000 in 1843 - some seventy years later.
Sincerament estes dues respostes deuen el seu acert a internet. Els meus ceneixements sobre Auld Reekie no arriben a tant ...
